Dense plum/black colour and complex nose showing notes of black cherry, plum fruit and violets. The palate is smooth and round with a rich raisiny character, supple tannins and a long, and complex, finish. Threatens to be sweet but in fact finishes quite dry.
Made from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes cultivated in selected vineyards on the hills of the most ancient part of Valpolicella.
Goes well with red meats, game, and hard cheeses, especially Parmesan.
