The Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend from the Barry family’s recently established Coonawarra vineyard and its long-held vineyards in Clare.
“Being able to purchase the disused Penola Cricket Ground and plant vines there in the late 90s has provided our winemaking team with a whole new ball game, if you’ll excuse the pun,” said Peter Barry, son of the late Jim.
“By combining the leaner, tighter, more herbaceous aspects of Coonawarra cabernet with the richer, softer flavours from Clare they have been able to create a full-bodied red with distinctive varietal characters and immediate drinkability."
Try it with a hearty beef casserole or rack of lamb.
