Details
Rich aromas of currant muffin, plum, briar berry and smoked ham-hock lead to a lush and rich palate. This is all tied together with firm but unassertive tannins and gentle acid.
Shiraz grapes were sourced from the northern half of the Margaret River region. The warm northerly exposure delivers a richness and full flavoured ripeness to the wine.
There's nothing too fancy required in making red wine when you start with good grapes.
A warm ferment that facilitates tannin, colour and flavour extraction by the pump-over technique is all that is needed. The wine is matured for ten months prior to assembling the blend in the lead up to the next vintage.
