Details
This dense inky wine displays great finesse and complex cassis characters on the nose. The palate is fine, poised and has great purity - a truly exceptional wine with herbal, vanilla, liquorice and blackberry flavours, firm and well structured tannins and a very long finish.
Pago de los Capellanes Tinto Reserva is made from a blend of 90% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes cultivated on the Pago Estate in Pedrosa de Duero. Burgos. The vineyards have clay-chalk soil.
This wine is matured for 18 months in 100% new French oak and then refined for a further period in bottle before release.
Suited to grilled meats, particularly beef steak or roast lamb.
