Resplendent ruby red hue through to the core of the wine.

Finely poised aromas of red cherry, spice, raspberry and gentle smokiness.

Vibrantly intense with a full rich and silky mid-palate. Very persistent finish.

Pinot Noir is naturally suited to the soils and climate of The Crossings’ higher altitude upper valley vineyards from which the grapes are sourced. This wine was matured in French barrique and presents lifted aromas of cherries, underpinned by savoury notes. Cherry and berry fruits on the palate knit together with subtle oak and fine tannins to produce a wine with great finesse.

The Marlborough region, at the north eastern corner of the South Island of New Zealand is recognised throughout the world as the source of stunning cool climate wines. With vineyards established in 1996, The Crossings is one of a small group of pioneering Awatere Valley winegrowers.

Will match perfectly with lamb shoulder, with beetroot chutney and new potatoes.
