Details
The Pinot Gris has a lovely perfumed nose with fine floral aromas mixed with a tad of honey and spice; quite full and rich, lightly smoky and nutty with smooth dryish finish.
Grapes are selected from vineyards with diverse soils - limestone, granite, gravel, marl and sandstone - which impart different characters and styles to the overall blend, and harvested by hand and machine, depending on site. Produced 'traditionally' by winemaker Jean Michel Lihrmann - pneumatic pressing, temperature controlled fermentation, no finings and light filtration before bottling - all to preserve fruit and aromatic qualities and elegance. His philosophy is to make wines with good acidity and fruit balance. Suitable for vegetarians/vegans
Will go well with meaty white fish such as monkfish, salmon or trout, king prawns, turkey or exotic dishes such as sweet and sour vegetables, fish or chicken tandoori, or not too strong Thai food
