Cherry red with tawny hues. The nose is quite striking and fresh, but still reveals the typical old wood and dried fruit characteristics of a Rioja Gran Reserva. The wine has an elegant, velvety texture and the ripe, fruit flavours are balanced by an appealing savoury character. A mature and very classy wine.
Perfect with roast meats, particularly lamb.
