Champagne was created in 1974 in honour of two significant events: the 200th anniversary of the House of Roederer and the 100th anniversary of the establishment of "Cristal" Brut. To create a pink champagne carefully selected crop from old vines of Pinot Noir from the best vineyards Grand Cru commune Au, work on which are conducted only in an organic way. The grapes are harvested by hand. For the production of "Cristal" Rose used only the first pressing juice flowing cold maceration for 5-8 days. Malolactic fermentation in principle does not apply, thus preserving the natural acidity of the wine. Then the wine is aged on its lees for 6 years. After disgorging bottles spend another 8 months in the cellar of the winery.
The 1995 harvest was a large crop and shared similar characteristics with the renowned 1998. Following four consecutive years of tough growing conditions, 1995 came as a huge relief to the region - the first universally declared vintage since 1990. The summer was mainly hot, with some showers a few weeks before the harvest. Now, over twenty years since bottling, champagne from 1995 are starting to show flavours of incredibly complex, rich and concentrated fruits.
