Produced by Nicola and Sean Allison, this Cerons sweet wine is made using Semillon. light gold colour, vibrant aromas of peach quince, honey, ripe pineapple and citrus. Sweet on the palate with a mellow smooth body and a fresh finish.

Château du Seuil was acquired by an entrepreneurial Welsh couple, Bob and Sue Watts in 1988. They renovated the Château, built a modern winery and re-established many of the old vineyards. From this point on the wines became known for their very high quality and finesse. Today, Chateau du Seuil is co-owned and managed by Sean and Nicola Allison, following the traditions established by Nicola’s parents Bob and Sue. The Cérons appellation is the original appellation of the village Cérons. It produces a unique style of late harvest botrytis sweet wine. The proximity to the river Garonne coupled with small tributaries like the Ciron river allow for the early morning autumn mists. These mists allow botrytis cinerea to flourish, concentrating the flavours and sugars of the grapes. The grapes are hand picked and only those with sufficient concentration of flavours and sweetness are chosen. Harvesting can take several weeks as pickers move through the vineyard up to three or four times. The Château du Seuil Cérons sweet wine has a level of acidity that leaves the palate clean, dry and fresh.

Fantastic with blue cheese, roast chicken, rich liver pates, also great with spicy food.
